Tel Aviv willing to expand bond with Vietnamese localities

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai recently talked to Vietnamese Ambassador Do Minh Hung about Tel Aviv administration's willingness to cooperate with Vietnamese localities and experience sharing in smart city development, tourism, investment and business.

The statement was made in a working session with the Vietnamese diplomat on August 8, during which the two sides shared experience in the fields of innovation, start-up and smart city development.

According to Tel Aviv Mayor's sharing, he visited Vietnam five years ago, and was impressed by the country’s beautiful landscape and the friendliness of the people.

At the meeting, he also congratulated Vietnam on its strong socio-economic development in recent times, affirming that Tel Aviv will share its experience in smart city development with Vietnam.

Ambassador Hung, for his part, suggested the two countries to promote and tighten cooperation in the time to come.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese embassy in Israel stands ready to serve as a bridge connecting investment and cooperation between Tel Aviv and Vietnamese localities.

Tel Avis is home to 1,500 startups, part of Israel's over 5,000 startups. Tel Aviv is also an international economy, finance and tourism centre, ranking second in the Middle East, after Dubai of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
