Co-organized by the Meet Vietnam Association and Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), the four-day conference is chaired by Prof. Ngo Bao Chau, who represents the VIASM and University of Chicago, and Prof. Brian D. Boe from the University of Georgia.

The event brings together mathematicians and professors from credible institutions, which are Microsoft Research, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Southern California (the US), Institute of Mathematics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and Toulouse Mathematics Institute (France).

Delegates will present and discuss a number of topics including Algebraic topology, Mathematics in Industry and Applied Mathematics, Algebraic Geometry and related issues.

With plenary and special sessions, the event aims to introduce research outcomes and new approaches in different areas of math, adding that it is a great opportunity for boosting cooperation between Vietnamese and US mathematics communities.
As part of the event, a forum on Mathematics in Industry was held on June 11. The forum was considered a valuable opportunity for students, mathematicians, educators and policy makers to enter this new field, thereby recognizing the importance of Mathematics in the development of technology and human resources.
